Desert industrial corridor at dusk with a long manufacturing plant and one orange semi trailer at the gate

Wire harness connectivity parts, delivered into Mexico.

Mexico builds more wire harnesses than anywhere else. That scale is exactly why a single allocated terminal series stops being one plant's problem and becomes a continent's.

Mexico is the largest wire harness manufacturing base in the world, which makes it the place shortage pressure compounds fastest.

We supply connectors, terminals and seals into Mexican harness production at the shortage, allocation and obsolete end of the market, shipping from Sofia with the export documentation prepared in-house.

Why Mexico matters to us

Orange pallet racking stacked with cartons and parts bins in a component warehouse

Ciudad Juarez is regularly described as the world's wiring harness capital, with more than 150 manufacturing plants in the region. Coahuila ranked first in Mexican auto parts production for January through October 2025 at 15.1 billion dollars, and Saltillo alone accounts for around 27 percent of the country's automotive fabrication. Tier 1 suppliers operating in Coahuila include Aptiv, Arnecom, Benteler, Cooper-Standard and Lear.

The rest of the map fills in quickly. Yazaki expanded its Guanajuato plant in June 2023 and operates in Leon and Silao. More than 7,000 people build wire harnesses in Zacatecas, for employers including Aptiv, ACI, Electrex and Kauffman. Tijuana carries the largest auto parts cluster in the north-west, specialising in electronics assembly and the high-voltage harness work that electric programmes need.

Harness work concentrates in Mexico because it is labour-intensive, because the plants sit inside the North American trade area feeding United States vehicle assembly, and because two decades of Tier 1 investment built the skill base to support it. The consequence is that a very large share of the world's harness output depends on the same connector families at the same time. When a terminal series goes on allocation, the shortage does not stay local.

Harness Code is an independent distributor based in Sofia, working the part of the market the franchised channel has already declined: allocated terminal series, connectors quoted at forty weeks, and housings discontinued in the middle of a running programme. We are not an authorised or franchised reseller. Counterfeit risk is managed through verified sourcing channels, date and lot-code checks, and original packaging where it exists. We do not issue a certificate of conformance as a guarantee of authenticity, and we tell you what we can document before you order.

Who we serve here

The clusters this market runs on

The public harness manufacturing regions and Tier 1 suppliers that make Mexico the largest harness base in the world. We supply the connectors, terminals and seals at the shortage and obsolete end of that chain.

Cluster

Ciudad Juarez

Described as the world's wiring harness capital, with more than 150 manufacturing plants in the region. Density on this scale means one allocated part is felt across many programmes at once.

Cluster

Coahuila and Saltillo

First in Mexican auto parts production at 15.1 billion dollars for January to October 2025. Saltillo alone accounts for roughly 27 percent of national automotive fabrication.

Tier 1

Aptiv, Lear, Arnecom

Named among the Tier 1 suppliers operating in Coahuila, alongside Benteler and Cooper-Standard.

Tier 1

Yazaki

Expanded its Guanajuato plant in June 2023, with operations in Leon and Silao in the Bajio corridor.

Cluster

Zacatecas

More than 7,000 people building wire harnesses, for employers including Aptiv, ACI, Electrex and Kauffman.

Cluster

Tijuana

The largest auto parts cluster in the north-west, weighted towards electronics assembly and high-voltage harness work for electric programmes.

Plants listed are public manufacturing sites in Mexico. Named customer references appear only with written permission.

Logistics from Sofia

A long leg, an honest lead time, and the paperwork done before it flies.

Mexico is outside the European Union, so the shipment is a formal export with customs documentation, and air freight is the realistic route for a shortage part. The EU and Mexico have a preferential trade agreement in place, but duty treatment depends on the origin of the specific part rather than on where we ship it from. We confirm what applies to your consignment before it leaves, and we quote the transit honestly instead of quoting the best case and letting it slip.

FAQ

Common questions on supplying Mexico

01Do you ship to Mexico?

Yes. Mexico is outside the EU, so the consignment moves as a formal export with full customs documentation, which we prepare in-house. Air freight is normally the right route when the part is holding up a line.

02Will I pay import duty?

That depends on the origin of the part, not on the fact that we are shipping from Bulgaria. The EU and Mexico have a preferential trade agreement, but preferential treatment only applies where the goods qualify by origin. We tell you what applies to your specific consignment before it ships.

03Is it realistic to source from Europe when the part is needed in Mexico?

It is realistic when the part is not available locally, which is the situation we exist for. If the part is sitting in North America we will say so. Where the remaining stock is in Europe or Asia, distance is a transit problem with a known cost, and a known cost beats an unknown wait.

04Which connector brands do you supply?

TE Connectivity, Aptiv and legacy Delphi, Yazaki, Sumitomo Electric, JST and Molex are the core families, with roughly forty further brands sourced on request. Give us the manufacturer, the part number and the quantity, and we will come back with what the market actually holds rather than what a catalogue says it should.

05Do you speak Spanish?

Spanish-language support is available on request. Most inquiries run in English so that part numbers, date codes and customs descriptions stay consistent across the export documentation.
